Alternative Learning System (ALS) is an approach to learning which provides out-of-school youths and adults an alternative way to improve their basic education such as:
- Communication Skills
- Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
- How to Earn a Living
- Self-development and Community Service
- Global Awareness
And acquire an elementary or secondary level certificate which can help you get a better job and pursue other learning opportunities.. The modules will also prepare you to take an Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) test at either the elementary or secondary level. If you successfully complete the test, you will receive certificate.
The long-term vision of this ALS is to provide out-of-school youths and adults opportunities whereby they can continue to learn on their own throughout their lives so that they can improve their quality of life and the life of their family and participate in national development efforts.
